Narayaneeyam: Dasakam: 11

Dashakam: XI

Shloka: 1
He Maarutamandireshaa-----------------------------O Lord of Guruvayoor
Kadaapi Sarge--------------------------------------------once, while the task of creation
Kadaapi—Once
Kramena Parivardhamaane------------------------------was gradually progressing
Kramena--Gradually
Te Divyaah sanakaadayah Prapedire---------------those divine forms- sages Sanaka and others, reached
Vaikunthalokam Bhavadvilokaaya-------------------the region of Vaikuntam to have “Your” Darshanam

Shloka: 2
Muneeshvaraah Ateetakakshyaah-----------------------The great Sages, having crossed the six ramparts (wall, a defensive or protective barrier)
Praapuh Bhavatah Niketam tam----------------------------------reached or they approached “Your” abode,
Anopamam Manojnya-naishreyasa-Kaananaadyaih --------------------------- which is beyond comparison with the enchanting garden called, ‘Naishreyasa’
Aneka-Vaapee-Mani-Mandiraih cha---------------------------and numerous lakes and glittering mansions or mansions of gems
It is said that there are six enclosures—moats (A deep, wide ditch surrounding a castle, fort, or town, typically filled with water and intended as a defense against attack.) in Vaikunta-loka, one within the other. At entrance to those enclosures are gopurams or gates and the step leading to the doors are guarded by Sentinels (guard or a soldier). The Lord’s abode is inside the sixth enclosure.
Naisshreyasam –means the final emancipation (liberate) in the form of moksha, the ultimate object of human life. It is described as above as it is in the state of, ‘Supreme Bliss’

Shloka: 3
Dvaah Sthau Jayah Vijayah api--------------------------------The gate keepers Jaya and Vijaya

Sarvam Bhavat Preranayaa eva----------------------------------All this happened verily at “Your” prompting
Having attained Sarupyam, Jaya and Vijaya were extremely proud of being close to “You” and considered themselves superior to others. When Sanaka and others came to “Your” abode for the first time, they were naked and assumed the form of five year old children. They were intercepted by Jaya and Vijaya in the most impertinent (not showing proper respect, rude) manner. They insulted them by using a stick.
It is very common that though a person may have mastered his sense organs eliminating lust, anger and other evil qualities, he loses his temper suddenly without his own knowledge, if his opponent blocks his path, causing frustration. He becomes impulsive (done or acting without fore thought)

A Symbolic representation

Samrambhayogena Tribhih Bhavaih-------------------------by the path of confrontation in three lives
Lord says that it was proper only to curse them. The misdeeds done by the servants will mar the reputation of their masters. Let these two arrogant people Jaya and Vijaya take 3 births of Asuras and become my sworn enemies.
Lord assured the 2 Vaikunta inhabitants, Jaya and Vijaya : By practicing the mystic yoga (Samrambha Yoga) system in anger, you’ll be cleansed of the sin of disobeying the brahmanas and within a very short time return to, “Me”
The Yoga of confrontation is vastly superior to that of devotion and you two be born as Asuras in three births as Hiranya Kasipu, Hiranyaksha, Ravana, Kumbhakarna, Sishupala and Dantavaktra
At the end of the third birth, come to me and attain bliss.

Shloka: 7

Yamau  ---------------------------------------------------------------------born as twins
Cha Lokasya Anyau Yamaai eva--------------------------------------they became like two other Yamas to the whole world
The background to the birth of Asuras are as follows:

Diti, one of the wives of Kashyapa-Prajapati, became jealous of her co-wife Aditi who had a large number of children and approached Kashyapa at dusk, when he was about to perform his evening worship, insisting on his begetting a child through her immediately. As it was an inauspicious time, the sage tried to dissuade her but as she was adamant, he had to agree. So the children were born as Asuras.

Ubhau Nyarundhaam Rushaa Asheshalokam--------------------both tormented with anger the entire world
Bhavannaatham--------------------------------------------------------which has “You” as the Lord
Of these two elder was well-known as Hiranyakasipu, the younger as Hiranyaksha . Both the Asuras were ignorant of the knowledge of Supreme. They tormented all the worlds, whose Lord is none other than “You” due to their natural enmity towards “You”

In anger, he immersed Goddess Earth, “Your” beloved  in water and strutted --(walk with stiff, erect and apparently arrogant) about brandishing-- (to wave or flourish a weapon as a threat or in anger or excitement) a mace in hand and roaring proudly like a lion.
