Kardamaakhyah------------------During that very time, a prajapati called
Kardama
Prajapati is a Vedic
deity presiding over procreation, and the protector of life. He appears as a creator
deity or supreme god vishvakarman above the other Vedic deities in RV 10
and in Brahmana literature. Vedic commentators also identify him with the
creator referred to in the Nasadiya Sukta.
The Prajapti
community cum brahmana warriors are seen as the descendants of
Prajapati; Lord BrahmÄ, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and Maharaj Manu are considered
Prajapaties. Prajapati also means protector & preserver (King).

the form in which Kardama has been meditating on Him. The idea is that God
takes the form which the devotee attributes to Him. He Himself being formless

According to Brahma’s
advice, Kardama married off his nine daughters to sages Marichi and others:
Kala—Marichi, Anasuya—Atri, Sraddha—Angiras, Haribhuvi—Pulasthya, Gathi—Pulaha,
Kriya—Krathu, Khyati—Bhrigu, Arundhati—Vasishta, Santhi—Atharva
Then Kardama did take sannyasa with a sense
of fulfillment and left for the forest to do penance
